Why not Games & Entertainment or Lifestyle & Entertainment? Why is it always news?
The truth is, it’s not some quirky design choice. It’s a subtle framing trick that serves a psychological purpose. It’s meant to train your brain to treat reality like fiction.
When the algorithm feeds you TikTok dances, celebrity drama, and full blown psyops back to back, then sprinkles in some war propaganda dressed up as “breaking news,” you’re not just consuming content. You’re being conditioned.
If you’re an adult, good luck sorting out what’s real. A child, preteen, or even a young adult? They don’t stand a chance.
When news is packaged with entertainment, it rewires how we process serious information. Instead of treating it like truth, we treat it like content. Just another scroll. Another headline. Another thing to forget in 30 seconds.
This isn’t about user behavior or ad targeting. It’s not “editorial neutrality” either. That’s the funniest lie of all, considering these apps gatekeep anything that threatens their narrative.
They could separate the categories. They choose not to.
It’s marketing sleight of hand meets psychological warfare, and it hits you every time you open an app.
Because if news is just entertainment, then:
• You’re less likely to question the source
• You’re less likely to dig for the truth

Regardless of how crazy this may sound, I hope we can at least agree on one thing.
Whoever the shadow powers are, they’re not just corrupt. They’re criminals. The kind history usually redacts or rebrands as heroes.
If you hear something horrifying about your nation’s leaders and your first thought is, “they’d never do that,” you can bet they’ve already done it & worse.
Nice people don’t make it to the top of governments.
Nice people don’t become politicians at all.
Evil is a prerequisite for the position.
